The three -verse terms I've heard in use are:

• Fediverse: All the (ActivityPub-based) federated services with at least some degree of interoperability between each other
• Threadiverse: Subset of fediverse focused on threads-based discussion, like link aggregation/forums-style (as opposed to i.e. microblogging)
• Lemmyverse: Subset of threadiverse specifically running Lemmy (as opposed to i.e. Kbin)

I never actually got a chance to watch the full stream yet, I just saw them from the same clips you linked. Did they say anything about the origins of the shorts on stream?

Again without any context of the rest of the stream, just being read in the characters voices doesn't say much to me. In-character table reads aren't that uncommon at events like this, and those could even be totally original content that's just for fun and never even meant to be considered canon (I'm not suggesting that's the case for these, just not unexpected in general)

Yeah, maybe. Just calling it "Tom Scott" felt weird since that's just the name of a person, and "All Things" was the first decent solution that came to mind (that's also why the icon is his red square and not his face like the channel icon, I don't want to give off the impression that this is Tom, it's just about Tom('s work))

The community is pretty broad, though. It's just broad around the YouTube channel called "Tom Scott," not the person of the same name

Yeah, it's nice, but I'm not sure the consumer market is the right target for this. Like Tom said, you can already get 0-80 in about half an hour, and the time between charges lines up pretty well with the time until you'd already want to stop and take a break to eat or w/e. A quick battery swap is nice to have, but I don't think it'll ever see enough demand to break even

I think it would be better to target vehicles that are always on the move, like buses. Where one driver clocks off, the battery pack is swapped, and then the next driver clocks on. That scale would also benefit more from off-peak and low-impact slow charging instead of constantly topping up with fast charging.
