9 years of work on and off, with a frustrating/disappointing 5 year shelving in the middle due to some pain/muscle problems, is finally complete and I am so happy
the funny thing is this it's not the first article I've read about it this year, and tbf to them it's really hard to talk about how some of the games we love for the NES are turning 40 while the console itself is only 38
I'm sure for the marketing it's a lot better to be succinct with a title for the casual reader. Saying "The Famicom, the pre-cursor to the NES, turns 40: ... "

I've loved Hokusai's work since I fell in love with the calming and yet terrifying beauty and detail of the great wave of Kanagawa at a university poster sale. This idea came to me after finally having to throw that print out from the wear and tear of the years;some time after I first made the ultros perler, but before I finished the rest.
I have a similar ~~hokusai~~ (edit: looking it up the painting I'm thinking of is a Hiroshige) meets legend of Zelda idea I've prototyped but it's still missing something I've yet to figure out. Hopefully I'll figure out out now that I can stop thinking about this one being incomplete ๐
