Sometimes I feel like I am the meat potato

What a convoluted way to say "he's mocking me and I don't like it"

I thought he invited the women to his room, and never tried to force them to show up or stay. I'm not trying to defend Louis, the most charitable thing you can say is that it was creepy and weird AF. But If there is more to it, this is the first I'm hearing of it.

It has somehow been fine for everything I've thrown at it until now. But after a decade, "it's time to go"

A new rig with an i5 13600K and 7900XT is on the way. I'm trying to remember what game finally forced my hand at a big time upgrade last time around.

Bought it on steam. i7 3770K. GTX 1080. Pop_os. "Whatever, it will work!"

... anybody want to donate an Xbox series X?

Switched my nearly 70yo mother to Mint and she's actually pretty happy with it. If she can do it, anybody can

Baldurs Gate 3 has been working great for me on steam proton

I'm running Quake 2 on pop os linux using steam, which is based on Ubuntu just like Mint. My desktop is a i7 3770 from that era. I think you will be fine on the CPU and RAM front.

The GPU I'm less certain about. It's an old mobile GPU that was low end when it was new. But this is essentially a 25 year old game we are talking about. My advice is to just give it a try. It's $10, and Steam will refund purchases no questions asked as long as you play for less than 2 hours.

I did that for a while but the other day I wiped out the windows drive and squished the two of them into a single drive with LVM 👍

I don't want to feel good. I DO feel good. The truth is there would be no need to justify anything were it not for all the FOSS zealots throwing shade instead of just minding their business. Stop worrying about whether we feel good, and start thinking about why you want others to feel bad.

I'll repeat what I said in several other threads at this point:

I loved the old app, I still love the new app, it’s a pleasure to use compared to the alternatives I’ve tried, and I find the ultra subscription rate both reasonable and worthwhile to support a product I truly enjoy.

Sync is good for me. There’s plenty of other options if it’s not good for you.
