He basically took the Weimar constitution because it succeeded at its main goal of stopping the communists from ever taking power.

In the French podcasts I listen to they always use Wokisme, but maybe l’academie is more strict about it.

L’Academie Francaise is a big fan of calling stuff Weauque, especially if it concerns the G word.

Does anyone know how trustworthy/genuine they are. It would be nice to have true independent reporting on what is happening in Ukraine, but sometimes I have the feeling they are just partisans from the other side. Especially there support for trump kinda turns me off. I get it, Biden sucks, but Trump is not gonna make anything better. Plus I have the feeling one of them is online gambling without muting the sound effects, especially during the recent recordings. Still better than the NYT though.

They are not stuck, they’re just having so much fun they decided to stay a little longer.

Not a fan of US foreign policy ofc, but I do wonder if America pulls back, how long it would take before France and Germany (trapped in a security-dilemma spiral) turn Belgium/Brussels into a whole different type of political battle ground again.

Kamala is very sick right now, it’s frankly disrespectful to go on about it.

Welp Kamala has Parkinsons, now we have to vote for Biden.

I think you underestimate how lazy the average journalist is, most articles don’t need to be written.

In spite of all the challenges, 99 per cent of those interviewed in the survey said that they did not plan to return to Hong Kong.

One important detail is that in most countries the far right is the only option if you are against escalating with Russia. Most people in Western Europe are in favor of a peace treaty, and peace was the biggest issue for German voters.

I think part of this shift can be explained by the fact that people are not jumping at the prospect of being send into the meat grinder after the Ukrainians are depleted.

I think the descriptive analysis of Mearsheimer (how nation states interact with each other) is pretty good, but I don’t often agree with his prescriptive analysis, which is mostly to maintain US hegemony (but in a more peaceful manner than the liberal foreign policy currently is).
