Kind of happy to be spending the day in hospital just for the air-conditioning! Poor housemate was cranking the evaporative cooling as I was walking out the door.

Statistics would say you are almost correct, a pretty large number of CEOs exhibit psychopathic tendencies.

Holy shit I listed the wrong site, my bad, it's Pet Rescue not Lost Dogs Home that was the one I looked at after.

Sometimes I like to go look at animal adoption sites, I like finding the animal with the silliest name and photo. Today I thought I'd look at the Pet Rescue which is not my usual place to look, and WTF is with their adoption fees! Maybe I'm being unreasonable but up to $1.5k to adopt a dog... There were 400+ listed in VIC alone, and I can kind of understand why! For that much you could go get a brand new puppy sans all the issues that come with adopting a potentially mistreated dog.

I get it's probably to deter people from making rash decisions, also folks who can afford to drop that much can also probably afford to care for the dog, and making sure that the dog goes to a good home, but it just seems insane to me.

Edit - I listed the wrong site. Sorry to The Lost Dogs Home for that one. Yikes to me!

I think it's more to do with the consumer is everyone, the farmer purchasing feed is not.

You're right in that it should be a huge discussion point, but at the end of the day everyone has to go shopping for groceries, so that's the story we're going to focus on.

Finally watching the Four Corners piece on Woolworths and Coles, and nice to hear the farmer talking about how much of a hold both stores have on the farming community. I come from a farming (beef and bananas) family myself and I've seen first hand the damage they do by being the only option for farmers to sell their produce.

Also howling at the CEOs, they really don't give a single fuck, and they aren't even hiding it.

Anxiety today got me feeling like I'm being hunted by God himself while I write my silly little emails at work.

Thursday needs to come and go already, so I can move onto whatever's next.

It was a mandatory part of year 8/9 Phys Ed (usually somewhere in semester 1), you couldn't attend the mid-year school dance if you didn't pass.

Maybe this a QLD school thing but does anyone remember having to learn to dance in high school? Like you'd learn the waltz and one other dance (mine was the cha cha) and then to pass you had to dance with the sports teacher (male teacher for the girls, female sport teacher for the boys).

Friend of mine just gave me a wild flashback to that part of my schooling, and adult me is thinking how fkn wild it was you had to get handsy with a teacher for a few minutes in the name of education.

I don't think anyone but me appreciates my organisation style lmao

Making myself throw out all my pc part boxes, I don't know why my lizard brain is so obsessed with keeping them all. Have also organised all my little screws, cables, and whatnots into labelled parts tubs.

House this morning was shit, tiny tiny bedrooms (have a hilarious pic of the housemate with their arms out stretched almost touching two walls at once), mould in both bathrooms that had definitely made it's way deep into everything, and extremely old appliances (not overly a deal breaker but you just know it's probably going to break now you're the tenant).

On a better note, the hike went fantastic, just a little sore in my feet!
