Idk I really like playing my backups upscaled with high fps with a not shitty controller. I wont buy any more though unless it's in Steam and not with a petty DRM.

I remember being so scared the first time I screwed up my $PATH

Man if it's a state of emergency let the mgr sink with the ship.

It so sad, they probably complied because they needed their jobs.

Personally I don't consider it a con unless rampant. However in many cases they've dumped the projects. It is effort that could have helped along another project.

imo the negative side effect is the wasted effort and the abandonment.

Same, I was very sad wheb they gave up in Unity8. I do check in often on the project as I felt it provided a very good mobile experience.

The thing is. Snaps isn't the first controversy.

Canonical, with Ubuntu early on was helping drive things forward, but they reached a point where they started to do things their own way with disregard to the broader ecosystem.

Each time they did this, they cause fragmentation, struggled, and then deferred to the choice the rest of the ecosystem has. The problem with this is that they're not sharing their effort, they're just throwing it away.

They merely doubled down hard on snaps which is the latest controversy.

Snaps have their own advantages, but Canonical owns the store. Which becomes its own stalewort

It's great with navi, its also great at finding businesses, even offline.

Organic has saved my tail a few times in state parks where I didn't have cell service. I tell everyone I know to install it just in case of emergency.

It can be more up to date, or out of date depending on the area. I pair it with Street Complete, which makes it easy to update info, or notifies you information you could provide.

Its gotten very slow and laggy and crashes often.

In my experience, ever since the layoffs, most google apps have had a negative experience.

Gmail layout shifts when selecting now. Maps crashes or displays the PIP ui by mistake. Too Many extra clicks added to maps as well. It's more confusing to navigate.

YouTube... The ad nonsense. One could go on

Funny I usually just take a picture of the with contrast bumped and black levels lowered.

Personally I would very much like an easy way to screenshot the TV and send it to my phone

I understand that, I'm not speaking contrary to that. But it's backfired on Intel before in my experience, 11th gen in particular

I dont feel most really need faster. But everyone needs more power efficient chips.

Hopefully this turns out to deliver both.

I noticed with QPR3, the back gesture in Sync now shows a black screen during the animation.

Could this be fixed? I read it'll become default in Android 15.

I don't know if it's instance wide or if each instance I've interacted with has this set. However I seem unable to downvote posts and comments.

I don't know if this is desired, however I personally would appreciate compatibility reports for newly released games.

Since I preordered with early access I can contribute.

System:

CPU: 7800x3d
GPU: 7900xtx Nitro+
Memory: 32gb ddr5 6000mhz
OS: Fedora 38 KDE (Wayland session)
Runtime: Proton Experimental

Game launches flawlessly and remains stable when alt+tab'ing out of the window.

Steam overlay flickers if you open it in game but does function.

Settings:

4k medium, VSync off, no FSR gets me mid 60's fps.

4k medium, VSync off, FSR2 Quality gets me 80fps (with dips into low 70's).

(Default) 4k medium, VSync off, FSR2 with 50% resolution scale. In this configuration I get 100-120fps.

Unfortunately, the game does not have VRR so it locks to the monitors refresh rate (manually set to 120hz in my case).

As such the game does stutter when it dips in frames so you may want to target your 1% lows or avg fps to guarantee a smooth experience.

8/10

At medium the game does look good, although the sprites for fire could be better and have more bloom.

If they add VRR, and steadily work to optimize performance this could easily reach a 10/10.
