If this is a huge problem for you, maybe it's time to reconsider your religious beliefs. Maybe something like Unitarianism or Quakerism are right for you, which are much more sexually accepting. Or even more traditional protestant sects like Lutheranism and Methodism are (generally) going to be more tolerant. Heck in Canada I believe both the United Church of Canada and the Anglican Church of Canada are going to be much more chill about these things, especially if you're in a more leftist area.
And just in case you need to hear it: you aren't going to hell for lusting after hot anime babes. I promise.
I'm a firm believer (pun slightly intended) in saying "fuck tradition" and finding the religion and congregation that's right for you, but I'm also a pansexual crossdresser who posts naked pictures on the internet so I'm maybe a little biased ๐ .
But yeah, ultimately you're spot on. Regardless of your religious beliefs: don't do stupid and hateful shit, remember we're all connected, be as kind as is reasonably achievable.
