So what did the driver look like?

[-] [email protected] 2 points 20 hours ago

Of course, but I mean if you're stuck doing his shift, you should be compensated extra.

Good stuff! I remember how heartbroken I was for Arya in that season 1 finale, when she was leaning against that statue and crying. I envy you the adventure and anticipation of watching the good seasons for the first time.

Ooh, fun and sad for your fiance. I rewatched it when my husband was watching for the first time and all I remember is both of us cringing at Colin Hanks.

The writing in MXC is so brilliant. I probably miss half of it because it all happens and is delivered so fast, or I'm still laughing from the last one.

What a treat! What season are you guys on? What's happening?

First time with Dexter or rewatch?

You should get the slacker's pay on top of yours.

My husband and I stayed up late last night ripping up carpet, tack strips, and staples, then washing and painting over the stains on the subfloor, all to prep the floor for the crew today. The new floor is now installed and it's beautiful, so we're going to just chill and enjoy them, have dinner, watch Snowfall, play video games.

CT, by any chance?

Reminds me of the TED talk, "Why we make bad decisions."

How old are those boots and what kind of work do you wear them for?

He still gets the zoomies and crazies. Energizer Murphy -- he just keeps on going.

We keep our oldmancat Murphy in his room at night; otherwise, he'll howl at our bedroom door at an ungodly hour, begging to be fed. His room stays pretty dim, so when we let him out in the morning, he always gives us this squinty face. <3

We had new floors put in today and Murphy was oblivious to the noise that would otherwise stress out a hearing cat.

I gave away my only big plant, an 8-foot-tall bird of paradise. The rest needed repotting anyway, so I took them all out of their pots and buried the roots in a roughly 50/50 mixture of moist potting soil and perlite in a plastic crate.

I had a Philodendron micans on a tall moss pole. I took it off the moss pole, wrapped the roots in a damp paper towel, stuffed that portion into a Ziploc bag, and stuffed the whole thing into a clear plastic bag, loosely sealed.

I did the same thing to a Madagascar jasmine plant that had been vining around a bamboo arch.

Finally, I placed some smaller plants in a smaller plastic container with moist perlite.

Sadly, I had to give all my pots away. There just wasn't enough room or time to carefully pack everything. We were already a half day late getting underway with our road trip.

I'm thankful they seem to have all survived.

I made this some years ago for my niece who I think was around 6 years old at the time. I'm very happy with how it turned out. Sorry, I don't remember what pattern I used. I stuffed it with old socks and T-shirts that I cut into pieces.

2020 - I got into houseplants.

2021 - I told myself, "If I'm still into houseplants a year from now, I'm getting a tattoo of my favorite plant."

2022 - Still into houseplants, and now also into outside plants.

2023 - Got it going in August.

2024 - My last session was just last Tuesday and I still have the Saniderm on.

There are supposed to be more leaves to the right of the tiger going towards my arm, but I'm suddenly moving out of state so it's done for now, at least with this artist.

I'm also panning to get the tiger touched up and color added.

Murphy was found in a storm drain. We guess he was just under a year old when we adopted him. This video is from two years ago when he was around 18. He's still alive today and showing no signs of slowing down.

So for the rest of this day, I'll be getting texts from 17 other people responding to this prayer request.

Edit: Other than the initial flurry of hearts and replies pictured below, it's actually been pretty quiet, thank goodness.

This is just for messing around to see in digital form the house that I dream of in my head. Is there a truly free one that does a decent job?

I've played with it in Sims 3 but I was wondering if there was something more realistic out there. Bonus if it's something where I could generate a noob file that a pro architect could use to base a real design on.

Got called off work on this snowy day so it's lots of lap time for Murphy. Win-win!
