If only I knew how to create my own firmware for Leica... then I could call the same crypto-chip and sign any picture I'd like. (Oh wait! There's a github for hacking Leica M8 firmware!)

If I download a file from a questionable source: scan it (with clamscan) If I run an executable I don't trust: use a locked-down (with firejail)

No matter the antivirus, if you keep downloading and running questionable files, you run the risk of viruses. I would say that browsing patterns are more important than any antivirus.

Ember is my go-to frame. The immolation skill means it can be quite tanky, and the armor strip from fire blast helps kill tanky enemies.

I used to love Ember before the rework (world on fire) for mindless, easy clearing. Now I love Ember for the guage management mechanic of immolation

Fully usable with NVidia. I can play all the games I want at the same graphical settings as Windows. (Nvidia 1080)

I am interested in the power and scope of federated Lemmy instances (and the Fediverse more generally). Is it possible to host an instance which automatically translates all posts of connected instances into a target language?

For example, my instance follows this community (!fediverse). Every post is mirrored to my hosted instance, which then machine translates every post before showing it on the user's feeds.

I use listenbrainz to scrobble (track played music). I like it because it is open source, and they publish using open data. This means that everyone has an equal right to the data, and can use and extend it however they want, which is a feature I wish more services.

There is also Ryot I am keeping my eyes on, as it promises to be an encompassing tracker, including tracking music, but its currently in development.
