I'm just clicking on things because I honestly have no idea what is going on

Path of Exile currently. Started recently, looking forward to PoE2!
Pretty cool how it works actually. I'm keen to see how this all plays out with reddit going down, hopefully lemmy can successfully take reddits place
Agreed, I think its awesome !
Asking the important questions
Oh right, that actually makes sense. Will this be an issue for the instance going forward do you think?
Wow thank you for the speedy response! Okay that makes sense for banning accounts, then its a little easier to control. I can also deal with a few minutes of downtime lol, realistically I probably wont notice. I see if a community hastn been searched for yet on an instance then it wont automatically show up until it has been searched at least once? A little confusing but I'll just wait and see if they start to populate :) Thanks!
Hey Demigodrick, I'd love to know more about lemmy and how it works, how moderation on instances works etc. You mentioned brief periods of the instance going down? What would this look like if it were to happen, are we talking a few minutes / hours? I'd just like to know if I need to make another account as a backup on another instance in case this one is down.
Edit: there are also a few communities I am unable to find through lemmy.zip, not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I can find them on other instances
Agreed, this post allowed me to understand more about how lemmy works
Why did they tell you off for using it?
Edit: I think its pretty awesome honestly
This is great to see. Is there any way we can contribute with crypto? I'm not comfortable using credit card details but I'll happily send some btc
