$200 for a refurbished 20TB drive on Newegg

The new ones were on sale for $270 so around $10-15 per TB. The best I can find is $40-50 per TB for SSD. Certainly not 7times more expensive but more like 3-5.

Gibbs on the Lions has been coming on strong the last month, but it is not likely that he will catch up to Puka. LaPorta on the other hand has a case to make, but since he is a TE, he needs to date Taylor Swift to get any recognition.

Not unpopular, but not an easily fixable one. While people who pay hundreds of dollars to go to games or get TV packages can certainly donate to causes and many of them do, the NHL, players and TV networks can also donate and do more in the community. Ultimately my question is why can't both happen where elite athletes get paid, and society still takes care of people in need?

1997 Lions versus Bears. Barry was in the middle of his 2000 yard NFL MVP season, and the Bears were up 17-3 at one point in the first half. Then Barry had enough of that shit and scorched the Bears for 3 tuddies. The moves he made on the 2nd TD were unlike anything I've seen since on Thanksgiving.

1st TD at around 6:30 Mark, 2nd around 8:45, 3rd around 11:00

Lions gave up over 300 yards rushing to the Panthers last year. It'll be interesting to see how well they perform this year. The game is also against Deuce Staley who moved over from Detroit to Carolina.

I have to remind myself that I watch this for entertainment. If it's not enjoyable I need to turn it off and walk away. I've had lots of practice over the years as a Lions fan. I tend to turn it off when it becomes a shitshow.

It's impressive that he lasted less than Barry Melrose did for Tampa.

If the season ended today KC would have the number one draft pick. Mahomes sucks! /s

Who is their WR1 now, Jéfferson?

Good for him. The guy deserves it, I'm glad to see non QBs making bug money as well.

I'm trying to figure out how to create a post that shows up in more than one community. There is a pull down menu to select one community but it doesn't seem like more than one can be selected. I think that I've seen other people do it. I've searched for it but haven't found an answer. The join lemmy intro website does not seem mention it either. on https://join-lemmy.org/docs/introduction.html . Is there a Lemmy posting tips and tricks summary somewhere other than the RTFM option?

On [email protected] I am unable to click on the links provided there with sync. Link just shows as a different blue color. Links work with Jeroba etc. Is anyone else having similar issues?

I'm looking at different options for getting a NAS/RAID array system that is tolerant to not just hard drive failures but also to hardware/firmware and board failures. I've utilized a RAID array in the past that was built into the motherboard, which resulted in the motherboard failing and me having to ebay another one to get the RAID array back up and running. Then I bought a NAS 2 bay drive that was only compatible with drives up to 1.5TB. I've also used external drives for backup since I've been burned by hardware/firmware/software issues related to RAID arrays. Are there are any PCI RAID cards, NAS boxes or software RAID or other options where the hard drives would still be readable by other RAID cards if the boards failed? Maybe a software RAID solution? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I thought it was pretty interesting discussion with how the three of them started 3 years ago versus where they are now.

I have been using Jellyfin on Android and Windows viewing DVD movies that were converted with Handbrake into M4V files in H.265 format. The foreign subtitles and closed captions have always been embedded and passed through by handbrake, and I've never had any issues playing the subtitles over th years with VLC/KODI/Plex etc. Even On Windows or android Jellyfin clients I've had no issues. My parents only use Roku however, and the only way I've been able to get the subtitles working for them is by creating a separate .srt file in the folder that has the video. I've tried .ass files using subtitle edit program without success. Do I need to reencode all my movies with subtitles and extract them as srt files for them to work on Roku? Or is there a better way to to get them working on Jellyfin Roku? Also, is there a format other than srt that is compatible with Jellyfin Roku?

Apparently they're swapping a 6th and a 7th round pick for the former 2020 2nd round pick. The QB situation was a shitshow in NY for awhile now so hopefully Mims has the talent to take someone's spot. There are plenty of opportunities after Jones and Sun God for the first couple months of the season.

Awesome interview. I never knew Holmes was in a car wreck that caused a stroke, paralysis and he was in a coma for awhile! He's lucky to be alive!

Looking at stats alone, DeBrincat is likely to get around a similar contract as Larkin around $8.5 million. Is he worth the huge contract for the Red Wings?

I'm digging this from RawChili over on Mastodon from 2022. Hopefully there is one for 2023
