I gave Epic's store a chance but even after all this time it's still shit and very far from feature parity with Epic. There's not even proper reviews. No big-picture equivalent. No good out-of-the-box Linux support. No Steam-Deck. The list is very very long. Until Epic starts delivering, the 30% cut Valve takes is more than justified.

Wages are also subject to change based on performance or company profits.

But what I mean is that the company and the worker have the same interests in some way. Everyone wants to make money to pay the bills. Companies are no charities and your work isn't either. If you dislike your relationship with the company, you can just resign that relationship any time. But one thing will never change: the worker will only do the work required from him and the company will only pay the wage required from them. There is nothing evil about that. It's human nature for the past 20.000 years.

The workers also just care for profits. Nobody is working for free. Everyone needs to pay their bills. Companies will stop making profits when workers dispense with their wages, but I bet that's not gonna happen.

Not if they improve it. But I doubt they will.

It looks like it was written in plain html.

And we called it what?

Propaganda can be truth. This is propaganda as per definition. It happens to be true aswell.

I never said the contrary. What's your point?

This is a whole lot of conspiracy bs with no sources provided. But it includes the usual keywords "the system", "design", and "ruling class" so you can get your upvotes from like-minded fellows in your bubble.

Have you considered that politics and economics is a little bit more complicated and a lot of gears make the machine? But "the elite pulling the strings" is much easier to understand and you conveniently get an enemy.

Good comment. Thanks for sharing that insightful information.

Genuine question.

There are tons of niche subs on Reddit that aren't on Lemmy or don't have enough people posting. Lemmy could benefit from bots that automatically post Reddit content. Why is this not a thing?

With all that negativity being posted, I think this isn't said enough: Been getting into Ukrainian rap recently, specifically Alina Pash and Krechet. I don't understand a single word (I'm German) but I noticed how pleasing the language and music sounds. Just came here to say that.

If you have more music recommendations please share :)
