That’s so many ungrounded thoughts and opinions though! The topic of this comment thread has changed like 7 times, I’m just having fun at this point. =D

same for me :D

Sometimes that’s just trying to justify why fictional Earth with time machines still has dictators and not a huge past interventionist problem,

In fiction, the best way to resolve this I feel is to assume that nothing can be changed from before the first time machines were invented, because the first time machine sets something like an "anchor" that all other time machines can jump to.

I look at time in general a lot like water in a river. It flows from the river to the sea (no pun intended) only in one direction, but once it reaches the sea, it can move relatively freely in all directions. I think that time will lose its sense of unidirectionality at some point, but that's solely my own hypothesis. I have zero evidence to back that up. It's more or less based on the idea that time represents progress, and at some point our world will be "fully developed", just like a child grown into an adult or an acorn grows into a tree. At that point, there is no more progress, and therefore, time kinda stops or becomes meaningless. Just that it happens at a cosmological scale, affecting all of humanity.

the real question should be why society is letting that happen.

okok sorry maybe I misread; please don't be so butthurt about it (no offense)

I care about palestinians because they are people and deserve to be treated as people, instead they are treated like cattle in a slaughterhouse. That has nothing to do with OP or you, it's just my opinion on palestine. That's why I said "palestine deserves attention".

I don't know what OP has done or sth. If they put forward a relatable message, I'm going to listen to it, no matter what unhinged bullshit they may or may not have said earlier. I don't like ad-hominem attacks in general much.

Ok I just tried it and I must say:

  • it has few users. Here in austria there were practically none.
  • The interface is ok and polished, but some choices are questionable: I cannot multi-select whether I'm looking for a romantic relationship or friendship and also I can't change that setting after account creation.
  • otherwise it's nice, very clean and usable, also very intuitive.

oh in fact I do care, even though I can't prove it to you.

what makes you think that I don't?

Hey there, I wanted to make a meme to clarify what the "grindset" actually does. It grinds the human to dust.

With "grindset" I mean the "hard-working" mindset that lots of people in the US seam to have.

I think it's very unhealthy, exhausts the body, and should be avoided. People should make a living with less than 50 hours of work per week.

scene from Ice Age - No Time For Nuts (2006)

it is a dystopian future where we technologically advance the planet to a state where there's no oak trees anymore. the above picture (supposed to be utopian) always appears dystopian to me, so i made this meme.
