I am 24 and I see my friends at least once or twice a week. Its a group of around 10-20 people that hangs out together whenever we have time. My house is very much set up for entertaining and people are welcome to come over any Friday or Saturday.

It all depends on who is busy, I won’t necessarily see any one person every week or every month, but I will see some of them.

Its slavery with extra steps. No upward mobility at all. Ask the Irish what caused their famous potato famine.

You got asked to name a successful economic system, and you chose feudalism? Holy shit man i’d love to hear the argument to back this up

No, in the US every consumer is meant to be their own health expert. It doesn’t make any sense, but its the easiest way to keep feeding us unhealthy garbage for cheap

What can we do to fix this? I agree with the dislike for cars and the desire for walkable cities, but when I see posts like this, it makes me really wonder about the way forward.

Public transportation is the obvious solution, trains/busses/etc. should have been the standard from the start, but we are here now. We can’t get rid of the infrastructure thats in place, so how can we fix it?
