We have been discussing how to extract the implementation from our own internal libraries to make it publicly available.

It looks to me like this is a bug and treating your 2 search terms as an OR .... show me posts for "activitypub" or show me posts for the english language (any post in the english language). I think flipboard.com just happened to have recent english language posts. Seems like you want an AND for the search.
