How would the content creators get rewarded in that system? Some of the YouTube ad money goes to the channel the ad is shown on.

Or where the average person's interest lie? Most people don't click on articles about refugees dying, but do read about this...

What do people here like better: typed or untyped functional languages? in c/[email protected]

Exactly the same here. 10+ years ago, untyped languages felt so much more productive; they were a breath of fresh air compared to e.g. Java. But after discovering typed languages with type inferencing (Haskell) and nowadays gradually typed languages, I cannot work without types anymore. It feels icky to not have a compiler check types.
