No defederation, unless they're breaking the law. Saying something you don't like is not breaking the law. Grow up.

He's based. If I had to pick a democrat to vote for it'd be him

What's posted on politics at lemme.world is "disinformation and propaganda" to me.

Just because you don't like something, don't deprive other rational people of ability to engage with it. This is what killed reddit and it seems that largest Lemmy instances are going down that path too.

That's what the process should be.

In reality, especially in social sciences, it comes down to whether the "peer reviewers" agree with your point of view. Even if your point of view is bullshit and not backed up by science.

That's malarkey

Gotcha, makes sense

This instance is hard to discover by new users who otherwise may have joined because it's defederated from everything. We should come up with ideas to market it better.

As long as 1 relay exist who accepts you your data will persist and people anywhere can get it with their original username

That seems a little better than Lemmy, but the relays still hold too much power as you still have to go through someone else's relay or host your own (just like with Lemmy instances).

I wonder if there's a way to make it completely decentralized like Bitcoin so that it's on blockchain?

Is this real, did they really censor his shirt?

I still don't understand where my data will be stored if I use Nostr. Does every user have to run a Nostr server/relay? Who hosts the relay? Doesn't the relay host have the power to censor?

I don't disagree, but running your mouth too much is a reason to be put in jail?
