@Le0@techgearwhips@NeonBeal I loved Joplin but ultimately I didn't want my family to deal with having to extract data from a database if something happened to me. #obsidian appealed to me because in the worst case, it is just text notes in a folder which are accessible without the app. However, since switching to obsidian, I have been pleasantly surprised with the possibilities the software offers.
