so far literally everything has been better for me. I upgraded my system to all AMD a while ago with the intent of eventually making the jump and it's been super seamless. all the games I want work way better than they ever did on windows, even weird little windows indie games through lutris run better than native windows. I also put pop on my old MacBook and really breathed some new life into that thing. I think I have firmly drank Kool aid lol

it you're messing with desktop environments and tiling window managers it sounds like you probably know enough to just use Linux instead with any of the hundreds of DEs and WMs

yeah I used the same USB to install Garuda on my desktop just very recently

Hey there, I'm trying to install Mint on a 2015 MacBook Pro and for some reason the laptop won't show the USB in the boot menu when I try to access it. I've tried using both baleneaEtcher on both my Macbook and my Linux desktop, and ventoy on the desktop to make the drive but neither has worked.

Does anyone have experience with this era of macs and installing Linux on them?

EDIT: Changing the flash drive worked ¯_(ツ)_/¯
