I've been told my handle should work on all the lemmys but so far it only works on lemmy.one. I tried logging in with this at lemmy.world and beehaw and it didn't work. I tried creating a new login on both of those and it also didn't work. I want to like it but I'm confused and frustrated. I'll give it some time and see where the dust settles as you said. Call me old fashioned though but I just don't think shitposting on a forum should be so damn complicated.

This article is about them visiting other countries not becoming a tourist destination itself.

That said, I've been to India three times, once for personal and twice for business, for a total of about three months in a few major cities: Calcutta, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chennai to name a few. I felt saturated in filth the whole time. I got terrible food poisoning four times in three trips and personally witnessed more people NOT washing their hands after using the bathroom than people who DID wash their hands. Each time, the entire experience is just miserable from beginning to end. If you do have to go for whatever reason, make sure to pack lots of imodium, sanitizers, only eat at more expensive western restaurants, and avoid street food at all cost. Street food is my absolute favorite part of travel but 100% avoid in India. I've traveled to 50+ countries and India is the only one I'll never go back to. This isn't a racist take or anything it's just reality.

I'm 36 and shitposting is the best part of my day! You're never too old for some things.

I used double spaces until a friend of my aggressively dissuaded me from doing it recently. I wasn't trained on a typewriter but I learned it from people who were, so there you go.

There's a noticeable generation gap between people who use 1!1!1! and the ones who would say sO MuCh tHiS! I'm not sure when it happened but I'm gonna guess you are about 35?

I just don't understand all these 'instances' or whatever. Do you need a separate login/pw for all of them? I tried registering for beehaw for example but it just sits there spinning its wheels whenever i hit submit. Idk I'll give it a chance I guess but I'm pretty underwhelmed so far. I just don't understand why a forum to shitpost needs to be so complicated..

It has potential but the learning curve is starting to be a real drag for me. I'm confused by this setup in general and don't particularly feel like getting a phd in lemmying just to shitpost, you know?

It's times like this where I wish "stakeholders" had a say in the matter besides just the shareholders. I know it isn't my company and they can do what they want, but it's hard to just sit here watching it commit corporate suicide. It's gone way downhill since I joined in 2008 but still.

Reddit permanently suspended all of my accounts because I said Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a cunt for not retiring when she had the chance. R/politics banned that account, and then a few weeks later I'd forgotten about that incident and commented in another post from a different account. That's when reddit permabanned all of my accounts.

I've been on reddit since August 2008 when Randal Monroe published this xkcd about it: https://xkcd.com/477/

15 fucking years on that site and they ban all my accounts and devices, then third party apps, porn, and who knows what else. Good riddance.
