This is cool and I might give it a shot, but I have to say the name can easily be confused with wandrer.earth. Slightly different purpose but it’s in the same space, so at first I thought this was an open source variant of it.

Plex allows you to add a list of local IPs that can access your server without authentication, just have to be sure to do it while your internet is up or else you won't be able to log in to edit the setting.

Yeah, how many batches have sold through doesn’t tell us anything unless we know how many are in each one.

Agree, love my NUC but it seems the last few years they haven't been the best option. It seems like they lost touch with what people wanted from them around the time they started releasing models that supported a full size GPU.

I've already seen the popular "unpopular" opinions got carried over from Reddit, so I'm glad to see this tradition got carried over too! Now we just need the OOTL and ELI5 posts from people who clearly understand something and just need an excuse to post a news article.

Nah, there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m the same type as you and just print until something goes wrong. While I enjoy the journey of 3D printing, what I really love is the results. As long as you get the result there’s no need to tinker unless you just really love that aspect.

I agree, I hated when some of the subs I was in would brag about hitting a number like 100,000 members. After a certain point more members doesn't add any value at best, and and at worst actually hurts the quality of the community. The bigger numbers were just an ego thing for the mods.

Is there any chance instances will start (or already are) blocking other instances based on instances they're linked to? Similar to the way some subreddits would automatically ban users for participation in other subs, it could further enforce echo chambers. If Lemmy.world is a little more open, I'd hate for it to get blocked by somewhere like Beehaw just for that.

Plexamp, the app is great, but its offline/download support is not great either
