I mean don't get me wrong. He's a cool character to play as. But he had 0 Battles in story mode. You dont play as him or against him not even once. Hell you Battle against Quan Chi and Ermac more than him. So why is he in the base roster and the other 2 are DLC?

It would seem to make more sence to make him a Dlc. But we all know that wouldn't sell well. It just feels like a "f*** you give me money" moment.

Edit Apperently people don't know how to read. The title of the post says why he is in the base roster. Not the story itself. I know he has a important role in the story, but so does Quan chi for example.

But thats just my input.

I feel like she looks like a soccer mom with wings. Every other character stands out to me. Maybe it’s my own fault but I was expecting a pale angry desperate but sultry badass and I don’t get that from her. This isn’t to say design doesn’t look cool but it just doesn’t feel like what i think when I see Nitara in my head idk. The voice acting also doesn’t help..

First of all i want to clarify that its not my intention to shit on NRS for doing this but the practice of the industry as a whole

Has anyone noticed that lately games have "premium" or "deluxe" editions where you have "early access" to the game? "Thats fine with me" you can think. "If i want to play the game earlier ill just drop a few more bucks but otherwise i can wait". But whats really happening is that you are not paying for early access, the company is intentionally blocking the release date of the game behind a premium edition paywall that can be scaled how they want.

Some games like Baldurs Gate 3 didnt have much reason to sell a deluxe edition since it doesnt have dlcs yet so they added the "early access" as a bonus in the deluxe. But MK1 already got a kombat pack and it really starts to weigh down on your pocket if you want to play a game that you PAID for in its launch

Thats my rant, just wanted to vent and say that it'll probably become industry standard from now on

My complaints are no krypt I loved the krypt since the ps2 days and little customization would be different if we could see the skins locked like mk11 no pinning combos or moves for whatever reason. The game way more fun and fast then mk11 atleast.

Look, in mk1 we dont have stage fatalities, stage items, which we can use during fight, variations, we dont have intros. After the story mode i have feeling, that the writers was told, that they must get it done ASAP, after they done a great job during the first half of the story. The second one feels like they had to compress all events and bring it to the end as soon as possible. As a PC player i am also worried, that without crossplay there gonna be no players in online after the first two weeks of hype. What are you first imressions about this release?

Obviously it’s only day 2 but the concerns are there

• lack in customization options, from what you can to customize to telling you how to unlock certain things to having certain skins out but locked (story mode skins)
• move tagging isn’t a thing anymore, so it’s a lot difficult for people to get into it with a character they’ve decided to main.
• invasions is being finished in a day (which is very possible because the enemies literally don’t block and you can rank up your character to level 100 attack and just cheese it
• the shrine…it’s one thing to advertise a premium skin/making it available outside of purchasing it with real money but its soooo fucked that they make it seem like sindel’s skin is a limited thing only to have people pulling it out from the shrine. Such a shitty tactic from NRS.
• the story…those last three chapters were God awful and rushed. Thats who they decided to tease for the after credits scene? Seriously?

Overall, I’m very disappointed that I bought this day 1 and the Kollectors edition at that only to find out they stripped a big chunk of what made MK11 atleast a lot more bare-able and enjoyable.

I was looking at the achievements after finishing the campaign. One of them is named Who was that??? After replaying the chapter 15 i got the achievement but didn’t notice any new or mystery character. Is there one or is it just the name of the achievement?

... not good to be honest. I find the gameplay to be quite jerky and not very fluid. Doesn't feel fun to play. Hopefully that will change as I get used to it. Could just be that I've been playing 11 for ages and so I'm really used to that.

I hope that changes because I've been super excited about this game for ages. I've just been playing through the story for maybe 2 hours, could be that I haven't found a character that I enjoy yet.

I dunno, I'll get back into it tomorrow, but yeah first impressions are unfortunately slightly disappointed.
