Anyone played this? I've had it on my steam wishlist for a few years but never got around to it
It suffers from the same iconic issues as Ubisoft games: mid gameplay stretched out far too much. It has some interesting concepts, but doesn't do anything noteworthy with them. Skip or buy at a heavy discount.
Thanks. That matches up with what I had heard in passing bout it.
Might be worth a couple hours if I've got nothing else going on I guess.
One of the few games I beat. Enjoyed it. Interesting combat system, easy to make any build you want. Karma system included makes for some fun attacks and defense.
That being said, gameplay gets stale after a while. While there is a bunch to do, none of it is necessary to beat the game.
The primary villain isnt an end game boss at all, and the actual end game bosses are beatable through quick time events and mecha that aren't effected by your load out or skills. It's like a different game against the endgame bosses.
My favorite part of the game was just exploring around looking for fights. Making enemies and allies while shooting guns John woo style.
My advice is to buy a physical copy, they are dirt cheap because the game didn't meet expectations.i remember when it flopped on release.myown copy came free with ps plus, so buyer beware. Watch some gameplay videos first. Otherwise grab it when it seems like an easy get. It's worth a try at least
Gameplay videos are fun but the game gets stale hard. Watching the initial gameplays you would expect the game to grow and get more depth over time, but it won't. Perhaps it would be a fun game for kids but not teens or adults.
Thanks, yeah I'll probably pick it up at a big discount to load up on the steam deck and put a couple hours into.
I played it when I had a PS+ subscription.
It's kinda fun, but it gets pretty repetitive and doesn't have anything that really stands out about it.
I have. I got bored after a couple days. There's nothing of substance to the world and the side content is your basic open world shite.
I haven't, but I got it out of a humble monthly bundle a while back, so I might try it. Most of what I read is that the combat gets stale, which can either come from over powered abilities or playing on too easy a difficulty. If I do try it, and there is a difficulty setting, I might go for a hard one just to keep it interesting. I have way too many games on my plate right now, though.
