MODERATORS
I had that for one day last time I caught it (Christmas to NY 2024). Got woozy/blurred vision when focussing short or long distance so couldn't read or walk. It was terrifying like there was a two minute stretch where my vision literally blacked out. If you have any leave from work/can afford to take time off, now is definitely the time to use it.
I just lay down, drank ginger tea to settle my stomach (apparently liquorice and peppermint are good for that too?) and tried to focus my eyes on sth middle distance (pot plant on the other side of the room/tree outside the window). Apart from that I slept or did low key stuff while lying on my side (so mucus/phlegm didn't build up and cause a coughing fit). This may sound weird too, I found that humming helped, because I wasn't talking as much and it really was rough when I needed to speak again. Humming kept my vocal chords active without straining them.
I think having liquid meals in general is a safe bet so soups and uncaffeinated drinks. When you feel up to it, try to get some exercise in, even if it's just a walk to the front gate, then around the block, bit further each time.
Hang in there, hoping you're feeling better soon.
had the nausea at least last week (still have covid, different symptoms though) ... ginger + lemon tea helped me when i was toilet hugging, but i was eating like a couple hundred calories for a few days there. i was taking tylenol every 4 hours religiously and eating as soon as it kicked in as the nausea would get bad when the dose was wearing off. also, i found taking 2 500mg tylenol at 11pm and 3am led to me being able to sleep ok, almost felt normal. (note that there's a daily max for tylenol you don't want to exceed, 4g according to the bottle i have, so that's a total of 8 500mg tablets)
