It's possible, but ultimately I don't think the west even matters all that much at this point. Most of industry and resources are in BRICS countries or countries that are aligning with BRICS. Western economies are shrinking in front of our eyes, and will likely be going into serious recessions in the coming years. Meanwhile, the rest of the world will be growing. I think there's a good chance the rest of the world just moves on while the west tears itself apart.
