Biden would likely be resentful and attempt to run as independent which would split the vote. He’s paid his dues and won’t allow anyone to take his reward

No way in hell Biden would run as independent. He's been a party player forever. He might possibly be bitter, but he'd tow the line if they had the balls to nominate someone else.
