This email kind of confirms the idea that liberalism is built upon nothing but liberals’ insatiable desire to feel intellectually and morally superior to everyone around them

Yeah they need that feeling of intellectual elevation at all costs, it's why they hate simplifying their pitch to the American public in any way even if it would win them popular support, and love to cite technicalities to shut down people's hopes for Dem leaders to do anything.
