If more people unconditionally voted for the lesser evil surely that will push them left instead of continuing to creep to the right. There will be as many Manchins as needed to hinder anything even marginally good happening if they win no matter the margin.

If you’re going to do electoralism you have to understand that your vote is the main bargaining chip. The people who stay home do more to push the democrats left than someone going in to vote blue no matter who. The thing pissing me off by the people who are supposedly on the left constantly telling people that they have to vote is that they don't even understand (or pretend not to) electoral politics.
