The whole "had to be restrained from beating the nearest servant" really is a B-Story about the dismal isles
I don't know what the human rights of servants was back then, but I'd like to think that if the guy hadn't been restrained the story would've ended with "and 2 minutes later the servant had to be restrained from kicking the man's head in"
