This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.
This community is for posts about Marxism and geopolitics (including shitposts to some extent). Serious posts can be posted here or in /c/GenZhou. Reactionary or ultra-leftist cringe posts belong in /c/shitreactionariessay or /c/shitultrassay respectively.

We call it the "BBC/nether filter", referring to how BBC turns all pictures and videos of China darker than original.
Remember when they were caught photoshopping geen trees in China grey?
Haven't heard that one, but here's an example, on the left is BBC's Chinese version, on the left is the English version:
Original article: BBC sparks uproar in China for 'underworld filter' on Wuhan video https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202102/1215710.shtml
Christ, this has to be a deliberate effort to present China negatively. Makes you wonder how the process looks when the decision making is going on. As well, whether the opposite happens for stories which they might want to show favourably, with additional saturation or whatnot.
There's a famous book that goes into the details of this process, you may have even heard of it, Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell.
Ironic that western governments seem to use that book as an instruction manual, and yet all the CHUDs who screech about it insist that every single one of the US's enemies are exactly like the book.
I member...That's how I found Living in China, so thanks, BSB News.

Edit: Changed video link to the tree one instead of playlist.
The video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41e44JwMY6Y&list=PL6UESfsY6DFtN4rbXh3WYI8OEI78Lt9vi&index=6
The image in question:
The BBC article: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-57780023.amp?s=09
Now, one might assume that the Youtuber is lying, and this is definitely what any lib coming across the Youtube video would think, especially if they look up the article and notice the image is unaltered.
Think again, the BBC has since changed it back to the unaltered version, this shit is infuriating because, 1. anyone seeing this video would think the youtuber is lying, and 2. whoever read the article at first has already been lied to. Here is the article before the image was changed to the unaltered version (Likely in "response" to the Youtubers video, BBC obv. doesn't mention or apologize for this blatant disinformation): http://web.archive.org/web/20210711221132/https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-57780023
Initially, although only for a while since I am critical towards my sources, thought that he had lied after looking up the BBC article, shame on me ... But thank fuck for archive.org.
I decided to make this comment to anyone who may look it up.
Hey, they're just trying to make China look like London so their audience feels at home
