I don't think I have more than 17,000 miles on these pads and it seems like I have plenty left. It's like this all the way around. Am I wrong to think that I have some time before I need brake service?

That pad looks fine. The Rotor does show Somme decent wear but it doesn’t look horrible either. If the rear side pads match the fronts then I’d say run what you have. Also note that brake pad & rotor changes are probably a 2 out of 10 on the difficulty scale. Did my wife’s front two last night in about an hour and a half.

Just to be clear, by “rear side” I was referring to the mirror side of the rotor, not the rear of the car. Rereading my post, that wasn’t clear.

I checked that as well. The pads are wearing symmetrically.
