So those are just normal rocks right? Why does he think they're teeth? Is that just a fun story he made up for his kids maybe?

There is a cross section of Christian fundies who think that the earth was covered in giants because of David and Goliath.

This is correct. The Bible talks about giant people all the time. In creationism conventions they'll talk about all the evidence for giant people all the time (Beware).
