The moment of the Russian ballistic missile attack on the Sports Palace in Kharkiv.



The enemy fired two "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles at a shopping center in the Saltiv district of Kharkiv.

Three Iskander-M type missiles directly hit the Sports Palace building in the Nemyshlyan district, as well as three more S-300/400 type missiles hit the surrounding area

Perun commented on this and his conclusion on thaad was that while an impressive system, the cost difference between thaad and patriot is so big that the money could most likely be better spent on way more other stuff that would be of more help.

The price for the US military for thaad is approx. 800 million per battery. The retail price for others is much, much higher.

Additionally, the number of missiles in stock and production capacity for patriot is higher. Japan for example also builds pac3 interceptors under license.
