The US is a fucking stereotype/parody of it itself. This is right out of an episode of South Park. Guy is evading fare so you pull out your gun and start shooting? Tf?!
Get out a little notebook and write down a description. Take a phone out and snap a picture. Follow him on the CCTV and have cops waiting for him at the next platform.

I think there's no way that's the reason they shot at him, I think it's more likely to be a power trip situation where they literally just wanted to kill someone. There's no world where a cop shoots at someone for jumping a turnstile as an enforcement tactic, that's just attempted murder for the first plausible excuse the pig could identify.

I think they're in critical condition as well as a bystander
