I remember when guys used to go for sports cars like the orange but now the symbol of status is having a 15,000 lb bomb blast resistant ied truck.

I hate cars but have a begrudging respect for tiny little 2 seater sports cars. At least that's how you have a midlife crisis with style

I've owned both a Miata and an MR2 before middle age, and they're both fun little cars that are decently cheap, economical, and reliable. But neither are very fast, practical, or safe. Sort of a compromise between a motorcycle and a sedan.
