Hi All,

Lemmy.zip has been updated to Lemmy version 0.19.6.

For a reminder of what's new, check out this blog post from the devs: https://join-lemmy.org/news/2024-11-08_-_Lemmy_Release_v0.19.6

The upgrade was rather smooth thankfully, other than a brief 5 minutes where the site wouldn't come back up and I almost died from stress. Thankfully I had to change one thing and it all worked again.

Please let me know if you encounter any weirdness, unexpected error messages, or if someone crawls out of your screen and tries to eat you.

Some messing with configs will continue to take place over the next few hours to check everything is running smooth, so I apologise in advance if the site accidentally topples over for a second or two.

Thanks

Demigodrick

If someone tries to crawl out of my screen and eat me, and it turns out they are unsuccessful, does that mean that I can take you to court?

I should probably add a clause to the ToS specifically around screen-dwelling monsters and something about forced arbitration. It's what all the cool companies are doing.

Good point. It seems like a cover your own ass clause would be required for screen dwelling monsters.
