I find that incredibly confusing. Wouldn't they realize that even if they were the staunchest supporters of those regimes, they'd still be seen as an enemy for being LGBTQ?

Instead, the Biden admin has demands for Iran to make more concessions to re-start the deal the US unilaterally terminated - a deal that Iran never violated. Biden is no better than Trump.
