It's hard to get going, but you'll be ok once you start. Also, you'll regret it later if you fail.

Thank you Nath. Surprisingly I'm not actually struggling with motivation in general. Its just that I have been playing a lot of tennis and I also want to complement that with some gym sessions. Problem is, I do too much and my body doesn't seem to like it. I'm doing tennis like 5-6 days a week and adding gym to that might get a bit much so I need to cut down my tennis time a little bit. Anyway, today's upper body day so it hopefully won't be too bad!

Might even do some footwork plyometric workout actually.

Compromise on gentle stretches and sports massage at home. Or schedule rest and recovery as an essential part of fitness.

If you’re swinging and jumping about 5/6 days a week at tennis you may already be at risk of developing shin splints or repetitive strain (tennis elbow)

I have about 5 different injuries i'm carrying :(

Achilles Tendonitis (more on the left leg)

Right knee tendon inflammation

Wrist tendon inflammation

Right ankle ATFL (I tore the ATFL late last year but its still giving me some grief)

Most of these are tennis related injuries though, but I have them under control with proper stretching / gym routine!

I feel your pain re: Achilles tendonitis. It's taken me 6 months where I can do general daily activity without hassle. But certain things will still aggravate it though. For example if I walk for more than 5 kms it will start to feel a bit tender.

Oof yeah, make sure you treat those and allow some recuperation between matches! It’s admirable to be active but rest isn’t laziness
