Wanting to create a community that doesn’t fit my instance so I’m wondering if I can create one on another instance.

In addition, you can moderate communities from other instances.

Then how do you create one so that it’s not in your instance.

I am not sure you can, if you can I would love to find out. However, may I ask what community you are wanting to create?

Kinda personal for me so spoiler ahead

spoiler___i was raised in a cult, more specifically the iglesia ni cristo. I’m still in it, albeit forced by my parents and relatives. Don’t want to talk about the experiences there, but I wanted to make a community for those who were or are still in cults over at the fediverse, and for those to talk about coping and other related things.

You coordinate with someone who has an account on that instance to create the community for you and make you a mod, or you create another account on that instance to do it yourself and make your main account a mod.

There's no technical feature that enables remote community creation, you just have to do it through an account on the instance you want the community on.
