Die Hard kicks ass, but I really do not like that the cop who shot a kid found redemption by shooting a terrorist!
A terrorist loosely based on a leader of the Baader-Meinhof Group, AKA Red Army Faction, who were extremely based West German Marxist-Leninist dissidents. In the novel, Gruber and his associates are attempting to steal documents from an oil company to expose them for funneling money to Pinochet's military junta. I guess the filmmakers decided that was a little too sympathetic.

Yeah, it also has the 80's Japanophobia with the CEO talking about how Pearl Harbor failed etc.
Yeah it sucks that so many action films have so many asterisks like that on them.
