I'll go first. Mine is that I can't stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It's like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds

What’s your address? I’ll bring my katana

If you must, but I warn you: I have studied The Blade, myself.

You find me at Steven Seagal Dojo, Moscow.

Um, I don't understand that, but OK. 👍

He has trained you well, I see

[–] [email protected] 5 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I don't want to fight you but I'm pretty sure you don't know what pretentious means.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

I know exactly what it means: pretending it's something it's not. Namely, a good movie.

En garde!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I mean, it is, but it's still good.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

No, it really isn't.

Oh imagine the absolute smuggness of university film students watching it on release and proclaiming it a classic.
