I can actually vouch for Wasa Sandwiches being pretty awesome, but I mean that in the homemade sense. Method-- take one or two of the crackers and crisp it up in an air-fryer for a minute or two. It'll taste much better right away. Then top with whatever, like dried parm, some seasoning, a bit of dressing, maybe some cheese & salami. So, hundreds of combinations, and bonus pts for the hearty cracker being surprisingly low-cal, like ~40kcals. They're also pretty great as an English-style snack "beans on toast," with the cracker substituting.

You seemed highly dubious about the cracker sandwich (rightfully so, I'd guess) so I wanted to offer another way of enjoying it that I can personally vouch for.
