Anyone have links to any documentation for getting modded MC to run on a steam deck? There are some mods I'd love to play with that just eat too much RAM on my little MacBook. Particularly if there's a guide for getting technic launcher mods running that would be great, but if it comes down to it I'd be willing to manually put together the mods I'm interested in. Thanks!

Have you tried the Controllable mod? It adds support for controllers so you can use the Steam Deck's built in controls for opening menus and moving around in game.

ooooh that could be useful. I was having a bit of trouble with that. I'll have to figure out a way to put together minecolonies, controllable and buildcraft/thermex. Ty!

If you would like a mod that adds a LOD system to allow you to see very far, see the mod named Distant Horizons. The fake rendering chunks allow for a seemly massive render distance at only a fraction of the processing power that actually rendering at 64/128 rendering distance would use, though at the cost of the fake chunks not looking exactly the same as real Minecraft chunks and also the LOD data taking up a large amount of storage space. The upcoming 2.0 version will make it look even more like Minecraft chunks at a cost of increased storage space requirements.
