So, a few weeks after my very first covid attack, i still have some fogginess. So, i discovered a few tiny mistakes in my little bookmark cross stitch. And i stopped working on it, because i had already fixed some other small mistakes and i was feeling disheartened. I contemplated whether i could stitch over them (but i'm a bit of a neat freak, so this tells you how i felt about it), or rip them out, or just ignore them and keep going. And for a week i was looking at that thing on my desk, waiting for me to make a decision. So, today i picked it up again and checked my pattern. I did not make a mistake. I colored them wrong on my chart...

(For anyone interested, it's the Vevaco PN 0184423 kit.)

As someone who is also suffering the lingering effects of our good friend covid, this is very relatable. Glad it all worked out in the end though, lucky you didn't frog it before realising :D

Edit: Oh my god this was just a speculative comment that I didn't really think would work but lemm.ee is federating again HOORAY!

Thanks for mentioning lemm.ee btw. I heard of it, but now actually took a look at the communities they have, and it seemed interesting enough to create a new account over there Have a nice sunday!

It's a decent server, I've been happy with it. Couple of things you should know if you're thinking of moving.

First is that our admin is a contributor to Lemmy core and quite enthusiastic about rolling out updates / doing his own experiments so we're a bit of a guinea pig server sometimes. Usually a good thing, but not so much when it breaks federation for two weeks over Christmas ๐Ÿ˜…

Second, there's a more relaxed approach to defederation than on .world and some people have strong feelings about that so just thought I'd let you know!

Thanks for the heads up. It's not so much moving, as just creating one more account. I think they defederated from threads, so that is not bad :-) And since it's not my main account (this one is), i have no objections against experimenting admins, generally i like that kind of thing, especially when they would share their views with us.

Fair enough! My other account is on .world lol, picked both of them at separate times as a "nice small server that seems competently run" and now look at us, two of the biggest Lemmy servers, well done me ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ
