My podcast feed is looking pretty light these days. Looking for recommendations, especially if they have a leftist bent.

Boonta Vista is great if you have a stupid sense of humor like mine.

Tech Won't Save Us / This Machine Kills if you have a luddite bent, both are amazing but somewhat academic.

If you can stand the incredibly obnoxious I Heart Radio ads, Alphabet Boys is a very well produced series about a fed infiltrating the BLM movement in 2020. The second season is about a fed clusterfuck involving CIA and FBI butting heads during a sting operation.

I've also been listening to If Books Could Kill, which is all about skewering shitty self help books.

Infrequent but usually good:

Subscribe but don't autodownload: Knowledge Fight, r/askHistorians podcast, Hamilton Morris Podcast, I don't speak german, Studs Terkle Archive

Recently added: Bringham Young Money, Seeking Derrangements, Where there's woke

RIP: Bottlemen, posting through it, spycops, Eat the Rich

Limited series: This Land, The Log Books

Of those mentioned already by others the ones I will especially endorse are Qanon anonymous, tech won't save us and trash future. Some of the other ones I will have to listen to.

There was a Lemmy liberal who got smug when I said the FBI is bad because of COINTELPRO (among other reasons).

He says that the FBI no longer does that and I’m misinformed and need to do more research instead of being stuck in the past

I responded with the Intercept article about the mercenary thug abuser volunteering to be an informant during the 2020 protests

Never got a response from the guy.

Speaking of boonta vista, bigsofttiddy.png is one of the very few things to consistently make me laugh.

Yeah, it's pretty funny too, and they have a lot of crossover
