I felt the same with the tomb raider reboots. The first one was great, finished it multiple times. Only got through the second one once. And then never finished the third.
I liked the first two tomb Raider, the last one was trash, especially the whole white savior, turns out to be the god of the brown people, bullshit they pulled.
This makes me not want to play it even though I have it
It's mechanically great but the story is... Not good.
