That seems pretty dumb to me. Why be pro exclusivity? Yeah it might not give Xbox a big advantage but it means more competition.

I feel like a lot of this is becoming more and more irrelevant considering PC handhelds are gaining popularity. We are frequently seeing once console exclusive games like Days Gone or The Last of Us becoming available on PC.

The fear for a lot of people is that if Xbox games aren’t exclusive people will buy a Playstation instead. Which makes sense, why by the console than can play most games when you could get the console that can play all games. This puts the Xbox hardware platform in a very difficult place. Especially because it’s already way behind in market share.

I feel like the little things add up. I mean I bought my PS4 because it had a decent modding scene, the UI looks nice, I like PlayStation's trophy system, and the controller more than the Xbox One.

I only really consider exclusives when they are locked down to weird peripherals. The Wii controller or the Vita's front and rear touch screen for example.

It is neat when I can play an exclusive but it's definitely more of an after thought and usually the console is a generation behind.

I don't think they are. They're just mad that they bought Xbox for exclusive games and now anyone can buy them. Honestly it's on them as much as it is MS. Don't buy exclusives. Don't let shitty OEMs strongarm you into investing in stupid anti-consumer ecosystems.

Yeah. It reminds me of pre-ordering games. Buying something for an uncertain future based off of marketing material and prior trends versus something concrete and in the present
