With all the attention on the strategic retreat from Avdiivka, how is the bridgehead in Zaporizhia doing?
They were also under continuous heavy assault last I heard.
I assume you're talking about the bridgehead in the Kherson region. It has expanded slowly. Putin concentrated most of his forces near Avdiivka and Bakhmut for political victories ahead of his "election".
In addition to what Wilshire said, I have also read that it is likely strategic for Ukraine to have the bridgehead but not expand it massively. Namely as it allows them to stay in range of artillery from the right bank. If the bridgehead can continue to be a bulwark and dish out damage via raids or just by defending under favorable conditions, it is doing it's job in an attritional war.
