A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

First step to polyamory is consent.
Hence the wannabe qualifier
If I've learned anything from all those documentaries about cults, it's that the first step to polygamy is identifying a vulnerable population

I always knew I was special.
Polyamory tends to be very focused on consent and the ethics involved. Polygamy tends to be pushed by religion to ensure an unequal power distribution.
What do you have an issue with?
Well, even then, the differences between a paradigm of romance, and a state-supported power-structure... Are not just 'consent', now, are they?
Your implicit separation of religion from concepts like ethics and consent
Can any religious practice ever be done with consent?
Isn't it always under duress when an eternity of damnation and unending torment is at stake?
