I thought I could find one big significant example to post here, but the article is just full heinous racism and misogyny committed by Tesla employees with HR doing nothing and even making the situation worse.

Hopefully these people get a huge payout from the lawsuit for their pain and as a way to make Tesla clean their shit up.

You weren't kidding. It went on and on, dozens of cases across multiple plants.

The fish rots from the head down, and that head is Elon Musk.

I don't even know how this many overt racists and misogynists even get hired by one company. Like did they go out of their way? Did they ask "do you hate women and black people" on the application form?

Toxic work culture will thrive on its own if not corrected, especially when someone like Musk is the company role model.

Toxic people will stick around, non-toxic people will quit because they're uncomfortable.

Exactly. This is in no way accidental or an oversight. This is how he wants things to be.

Multiple failed attempts did not

Well the attempts at unionization failed. But a union would likely help.

In my previous job, when the leadership imposed a culture change we weren't happy with, a bunch of people just quit. We were replaced by new employees that are completely fine with it, but we moved to other companies where we feel more at ease, so it was a win-win.

The safety part of the article is also nuts. Tesla employees get no training before starting their factory floor jobs?

Never mind never buying a Tesla, I'm never getting into one now!

I loved the bit about them avoiding painting dangerous areas in yellow because Musk apparently doesnt like the color. He definitely loves the color red, that’s for sure.

I'm saddened, but unfortunately not surprised by this article.
